Letter from a Daughter of a Green Beret

The following is an abbreviated letter from the daughter of a Green Beret.

“I appreciate what you’ve done for the Special Forces community. My father was a Green Beret and I can’t even begin to describe how it was growing up in the SF community other than the fact that is was awesome. I’ve grown up with so many of their stories of war and crazy adventures. I’m very proud to be the daughter of a Green Beret. It’s a very tight-knit family and for the first 10 years of my life, my dad’s team mates (He was a team sergeant 5th Special Forces Group) were the only family I knew. They were my ‘uncles’ and were at the house every weekend and holidays and I still speak with them today. So many stories… Thank you for being brave enough to tell their story. I am really looking forward to reading The Only Thing Worth Dying For. Here is a photo of my father. He has passed recently but I know that he would have loved to read your book. I bought a copy for my husband. He is getting deployed to Afghanistan mid-march. Is there anyway I could send you the book to autograph it for him? I would greatly appreciate it.”

Respectfully,
Kalani R. White
